What to Expect

When you are looking for a veterinary hospital, you should be able to count on quality care and service. Here at Ettrick, we have an expert team of veterinary professionals to provide you with the best possible healthcare for your animal. Our veterinary facility is clean, comfortable, up to date and efficient.

We recommend that you bring your pet in for a check-up at least once a year and this will give you the opportunity to discuss any concerns and issues that you might have. Our team can suggest a routine preventative care schedule for your pet including vaccinations, deworming, heartworm testing and heartworm prevention. We also provide weight consults managed by our nursing team, enabling you to keep your pet at his or her optimal weight.

During your appointment, one of our veterinarians will thoroughly examine your pet and discuss his/her findings and recommendations. Further diagnostic tests, such as bloodwork, ultrasound, x-rays, etc, may be suggested to investigate any unusual findings. As animals are generally more comfortable in their own home environments, we encourage homecare, wherever possible. In some circumstances, however, we may recommend hospitalization for further care.

On your first visit to our hospital, please provide us with any relevant medical issues, vaccination history or other information that may assist us in providing medical care for your animal. If need be, we can contact your previous veterinarian to obtain copies of your pet’s medical history.
Our aim is to address your questions and concerns and to resolve your pet’s health issues. We want you to feel that your animal is receiving the best possible care.

Call us at 236-0007 to schedule an appointment and we will work with you to find a time that is convenient for both you and your pet!
